What can be the cause of Panic Attacks?
Well panic attacks are caused out of nowhere. So we ask ouselves, what is the root cause of panic attacks? One moment you’re fine, the next you’re shaking and crying. Hence, many patients fail to realize that panic attacks are result of nowhere. At first, the attack is result of a certain stimulus. It could be anything including a particular place, smell or person. Whatever it is understanding cause of panic attacks to prevent them.
It is known that panic attacks are caused because of internal or external causes. Internal causes of panic attacks are memories, feelings, certain thoughts, and physical sensations like headaches. For some strange reason, you begin to sweat. You definitely do not want to have another panic attack. The anxiety builds up, until you are having a full-fledged panic attack.
KEEP AVOIDING TRIGGERS AND THINGS THAT CAUSE PANIC ATTACKS:
Ideally, you need to avoid triggers. Just by avoiding triggers, you can prevent the panic attacks. In the linen matter, you can substitute other fabrics. Also if you are sensitive to changes in lighting, you can avoid dance clubs. Little changes to your lifestyle can go a long way to protect your sanity.
CONFRONT YOUR TRIGGERS:
Although you naturally wish to avoid cause of panic attacks, it is true that some triggers are unavoidable. As if it’s difficult to avoid the smell of a cigarette as we can’t control on whether a passerby smokes or stops. Hence, some patients themselves try to know their sensitivity by repeating such unpleasant stimulus.
You might be apprehensive about trying this, and who wouldn’t be? Nobody wants to have a panic attack on purpose. However, getting used to your triggers will reduce the frequency of your panic attacks in the long run. For an example people suffering from phobia try to expose themselves frequently with the kind of fear they possess. Although initially they are terrified, they gradually begin to lose their irrational fear.
In advance of your confronting the cause of panic attacks, you should discuss this with your psychiatrist or doctor. They are professionals and hence, possess some kind of exercises or techniques that help you to fight with your triggers. Also, if you are having a heart condition this may not prove good to you.
For the best way, it is always advisable to increase the exposure gradually. Do not worry if initially you do not succeed in fighting the causes of panic attacks. . It’s fine because everything takes time to work.
