A large number of women is interested in how to reduce fat in the midsection and remain slim and attractive. Abdominal area remains one of the problem areas due to various reasons. These may be unhealthy diet, sedentary life, age or hormonal changes.

While the first two factors may be easily eliminated, two latter factors are inevitable. Still no one should desperately lose heart. The main secret is to know how to treat such changes and make them not so harmful, but even favourable.

With age due to hormonal changes the metabolic activity of an organism slows down and the process of fat accumulation accelerates. It seems that everything that you eat, settles immediately on your waist. Favourite dresses and skirts become too tight due to the fat accumulations in the midsection. In case of heredity to overweight the problem may be even more dramatic. That is why it is strongly recommended to follow a healthy diet oven to those, who could afford eating everything in youth. A woman should constantly remember that due to irreversible changes in her organism it is better to avoid consuming high-caloric products.

Middle age is the time, when a person should turn to low-caloric diet with excluding of fat and starchy food, as well products rich in sugars. Cereals, fish, white meat, dairy products, fruit and vegetables should comprise a significant part of daily meals. The advantage of these products is not only in low content of calories, but also in the abundance of vitamins and microelements that are vital for an organism. Coffee and black tea should be replaced by green tea and fresh juices. Avoid salty and spicy food that leads to water retaining. Such simple eating habits will help to remain slim and healthy.

Another important rule for women, who want to have a flat abdomen, is regular training. Due to the slowdown of the metabolic activity the organism can not burn all calories, and consequently, needs more activity. Simple ab exercises like crunches in combination with cardio training provide enough activity and help to remain in good shape. Abdominal exercises will strengthen the abs and prevent flabbiness, while cardio exercises will help to burn consumed calories and not to gain weight. Bear in mind that cardio exercises should be of high intensity, so that they could help in fat melting. Sole ab or other exercises will not give the desired effect.

Flat abdomen will be more achievable, if you add more activity to your daily routine. Never take elevator, since you sit too much at your work place. Do short breaks for simple exercises during the day. Walking in the park or cycling with children or friends is more preferable for your abdomen, than sitting at a caf
